Sanford

Sanford is a city in and the county seat of Seminole County, FL. It is located 16 miles north of Orlando with a population of 49,124 as of 2006.

An older agricultural and resort area, Sanford sits on the south shore of Lake Monroe at the head of the navigation on the St. Johns River, north of Orlando.
